My latest piece this year focusses on the concept of simulacra 'simulate' or 'imitate' in the sense of the real. I am interested in how advertising has simulated this idea of what reality is or should be. From ideology to actual reality I am exploring how this dissimilation of truth could lead to the end of human civilisation. Quoting Jean Baudrillard work: Simulacra and Simulation.

Illustration section. I was once told that illustration is not art. Then I say what exactly is art? And to that question there is no answer. it just is what it is. An experience.

For me drawing is an outlet of thought. My illustrations display a stance of society which is chaotic and unnerving. The objects I draw inform on another and the text subverts the morale of our society today...(read on)
