Carrie constructs black and white illustrations that reflect a notion of what is real, she illustrates a society that is compulsive in a psychological requirement to manipulate everything in terms of material, and in persona, be the ultimate super-ace on the planet. Her work explores how the world is practically operated by humans and how this affects the transcendent planet as the human habitat.
Her drawings are influenced by the nature of chaotic urban environments. New technologies and electronic paraphernalia seemingly dwarf the old analogue way of life. Her drawing demonstrates the nature of the con-temporary world in effect, the media and its influences.
Usually working on a two dimensional plane, her work often moves to other mediums like sculpture and photography, again adopting her characteristic monochrome aesthetic.
